Today we got some sad news when we arrived at school. A friend from our time in daycare passed away. Her name was Haylea Knight. She was only 6 years old and very sweet. Haylea was born with a heart defect and had undergone numerous surgeries to repair her little heart. Only a couple of weeks ago, she was cleared by her doctor from her last surgery.
She was at a birthday party on Friday and her heart stopped while she was jumping on a trampoline. Her grandmother Starr was always by her side and was there when Haylea passed. The school has tried to help the children deal with her death, but I think it will take a while.
Rosie doesn't really remember her, only waiving at her at school. Gillian wasn't sure which girl they were talking about at school, but once I clarified it she was very sad. We stopped and bought a small potted plant to add to Haylea's memorial. We hope they feel a little love from us.
We pray that her family will find strength and peace in their faith. I tried to explain to our girls where Haylea has gone and that she is healthy and whole now, that she won't suffer anymore. I hope they will find peace in that.
Please remember our friends, Starr and Maura (Haylea's little sister) and all their family. Our Girl Scout troop is planning to plant trees in the new Market Park for Haylea and her family. If you would like to help, please email me at daniyhannah@gmail.com.

A Day in the Nuthouse!!
Today was a very bust day. I worked from 9:30 - 1:30 and then picked up the Monroe's kids, Jack, James and Elly. Danielle has been suffering with a severe headache since she came home with baby Katy. The kids played all afternoon in the backyard and managed to empty the sandbox. Guess it's time for some more!
James was very funny! After I gave snack to all the kids, James walked around and finished off all the snacks that were left unguarded. When I asked him what he was doing, he just grinned and kept on! What a great kid!
Jake is scheduled to visit Roger's parents next weekend for a mont or so. I'm hoping to use the time to get some things done. But of course, I had to go and get a job right before he leaves! Oh well, at least I can still get something accomplished, even if the girls are home.
We are looking forward to the end of school-a chance to send the kids away to camp and other activities. We won't be going to Myrtle Beach this year, but hope to spend a day at Wet n' Wild at least.
Thanks for checking in-I'm off to entertain with Mr Magorium's WOnder Emporium (I hope it works!)
